In San José, the average temperature is sixty-nine degrees Fahrenheit, but with higher elevations, it can drop to fifty-nine degrees Fahrenheit, and at lower elevations, it can get up to eighty degrees Fahrenheit. Costa Rica has a diverse vegetation population such as rainforests, cloud forests which are forests in highlands that have rich vegetation and clouds that sit up high in the trees, mangroves which are important coastal marine ecosystems that are impacted by human life, and bromeliads which are air plants that are known for their adaptation, living on air, water, and sunshine. Within these vegetation populations are bananas, orchids, avocados, cocoa trees, etc. Similar to vegetation, Costa Rica also has a diverse population of wildlife with animals such as sloths, birds, toucans, monkeys, and many other animals. These animals are found all over the country, but mostly in the rainforests.
